For our client from the Energy sector we are looking for UX Designer and Researcher (f/m/d) from February 2025.

Start: 03.02.2025

Length: until 31.01.2026 (optional extension possible)

Location: 90% Remote / 10% Berlin

Additional locations: Brussels 5%

Capacity: 180 days a year


Mission tasks: (non-exhaustive)

  • Lead UX research activities and document it in the clients Research repository
  • Prepare and animate workshops on functional framing, ideation and co-design with business and users, or even on an ad hoc basis for user tests and focus groups
  • Collect user needs and feedback throughout the project by implementing appropriate research methods (on-site observations, interviews, user tests, surveys, literature, etc.)
  • Create personas through user research and data
  • Define the right interaction model and evaluate its success via measurable criteria
  • Identify business processes and use cases, define, and formalize user journeys or make recommendations for improvement to existing journeys
  • Create storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
  • Using our Figma design system, realize design concepts, wireframes, produce clickable functional prototypes and final UI Design
  • Present ideas, concepts, and design solutions to various stakeholders
  • Collaborate closely with developers during requirements engineering and hand-over
  • Communicate design ideas and prototypes to developers
  • Actively participate in broader UX Chapter and Product Team activities such as feedback and knowledge sharing sessions to ensure common UX standards

Skills:

  • Excellent with UX/UI design for complex workflows
  • Good portfolio of design projects, especially for complex software solutions
  • Experience with interaction design and information architecture
  • Experience creating wireframes, user flow, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI Design
  • Attention to details and works delivered in high standard
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS; JavaScript
  • Able to write processes, documentation, and presentations
  • Experience within the energy sector and Familiarity with technical jargon and willingness to work in a technical environment is a big plus.
  • Ability to work effectively within a matrix structure.

Necessary competencies (must-have)

  • language: German mandatory (native of fluent), as well as professional efficiency in English
  • Proven experiences in design thinking in context of agile projects
  • Strong practices of qualitative and quantitative research methods
  • Experiences in UI designs (Figma) for multiple thin or thick clients (responsive Web, mobile, desktop)
