Project Overview:
As a Strategic Partner Manager on the Devices & Services Partnerships team, you will be responsible for managing and expanding business with leading carrier partners in Germany. Your primary focus will be on the distribution of Mobile hardware by developing and growing key partner relationships with German carriers. This will involve shaping the channel strategy, consulting on commercial terms, driving marketing efforts, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences across multiple sales channels.
The successful candidate will be a thought leader, demonstrating strong business judgment, negotiation skills, and an ability to analyze data and draw metric-based conclusions. Passion for the hardware/phone space is a plus.
You will collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as marketing, retail operations, logistics, and support teams both locally and regionally to drive key initiatives and strategic projects.
About the role:
Overall Responsibilities:
- Drive strategic partner management with a focus on the carrier channel, specifically Vodafone Deutschland and other key partners in Germany
- Shape and lead sales and marketing concept development and execution for hardware portfolio
- within the business customer channel, offline sales channels, and regional business
- Negotiate with business customer channel stakeholders from carriers and decentralized carrier retail partners
- Manage partner trading by supporting promotional and performance management, sales reporting, settlement support, and aligning partner-relevant activities with cross-functional teams
- Focus on SOHO/B2B sales and offline sales channels with major customers, including steering indirect sales partners
- Develop and strengthen trust relationships with existing customers, deepening your network within the partner's relevant sales channels
Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day partner trading support to ensure the smooth operation of business activities related to promotions, performance management, sales reporting, settlement, and cross-functional alignment
- Focus on driving B2B sales and offline sales business with major customers, steering indirect sales partners in the process
- Develop and expand trust relationships with existing customers while strengthening your network within the partner's relevant sales channels
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of experience in the consumer electronics industry (retail, online retail), or other related fields
- Proven experience in sales/distribution of consumer electronics products
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to navigate cross-functional teams
- Fluent in English and German (both spoken and written)
Nice to have:
- Experience working in the consumer electronics sales sector in Germany, with a focus on carrier business
- Excellent communication, consultation, analytical, and problem-solving skills; able to exercise sound business judgment.
- Experience in sales operations, sales planning, account management, and relationship management.
- Ability to think strategically and tactically to build a solid partnership strategy, with particular attention to detail when working with carrier companies.
